Aim / Objective:  ≈ To promote the social, economic, political, cultural, educational and spiritual welfare of Catholics in particular and Christians in general.
≈ To promote fraternal solidarity among Catholics in the Archdiocese of Bombay, to establish units in the Parishes and coordinate their activities.

≈ To foster in particular civic, social, political and national consciousness among Catholics, to help them to play a useful and effective role in public life and to contribute to national integration and welfare.

≈ To be an exponent of Catholic opinion and to spread the influence of Christian ideals, values and principles in public life.

≈ To safeguard the legitimate rights, liberties and interests of the Christian Community and to make representation to public and private authorities and bodies in all matters affecting Christians.

≈ To understand humanitarian work, projects or schemes for the needy, irrespective of race, caste, creed or community and to do charitable work in general.

≈ To affiliate to the All India Catholic Union and other regional, national and international Catholic organizations and to cooperate with other bodies having aims and objectives similar to the Sabha.

≈ To promote renewal within the Church and to foster good relationship through dialogue; collaboration and service between the Church and society, in keeping with the policy and programmes of the Catholic Church.
History:  Bombay Catholic Sabha was constituted in January 1989 and registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. The Bombay Catholic Sabha Unit of St. Dominic Savio was formed in 1994.

Activities: 1) The members organize fund generating programmes and the interest earned is used for deserving causes.
2) The Chairman and some of the members of the Committee are coordinating with the municipal authorities of F/N ward and Dr. A. S. Mehta, dignitary of Wadala East. A close watch is being maintained for timely clearing of debris and garbage by the municipal workers. The repeated visits of senior officers of F/N ward to inspect the area of Wadala (E) were organized by the Chairman of the Sabha Unit in close coordination with our Parish Office.
3) The Thrust Areas of the parish unit: education, social action, health, young adults, civic and political action.
4) Outreach Services: RACE, Senior Citizaen's ID card, Project BloodLine and Marriage Alliance Bureau.

Meetings are held every 4th Saturday (after 6.30 pm mass) or 4th Sunday (after 10.15 am mass) of the month in the church hall. Parishioners interested in joining this association can attend the group meeting to register.
